For many years Jack’s focus has been on creating pictorial records of children for loved ones to enjoy throughout their child’s school years. In 1965 he founded O’Connor School Portraits, a school photography company which grew to cover most of New England, photographing approximately 1200 schools (500,000 children annually). Each were serviced through a network of photographers throughout New England. This business was sold in 1996.

In 1974 he co-founded Commencement Photos, Inc. He applied the same commitment to quality and service and developed one of the most respected commencement photography businesses in the nation, now servicing 200 ceremonies annually (60,000 graduates).

When not at the helm of the business Jack’s attention is absorbed in community activities. He serves on the boards of the Merrimack Repertory Theatre, Saints Memorial Medical Center, the Butler Bank, the Greater Lowell Business Education Collaborative and several others. He is a strong supporter of the importance of both art and education in his community and gives of his time and resources in support of 25 charities.

Jack and his wife Therese have three grown daughters and two grandchildren. In the rare moments when time allows Jack also enjoys antiquing and gardening.
